Due to Arrive May 2011

So yesterday we had our ultrasound! Baby "H" is now known as Emmalyn Blair! As bad as we wanted a boy, we couldn't be ANY happier that it's a girl! And it just means all of Caitlyn's clothes won't go to waste! :) Poor Choo is taken over by females. Emmalyn's heart rate was 149 and she was kicking like crazy! At one point she kicked the ultrasound thing off my belly! Caitlyn already loves her so much. She's always kissing my belly! Anyway, I just wanted to update on the sex of Baby "H".

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

So I'm now 17 weeks along! Yay:) We are "supposed" to find out the sex on Monday! I am excited, but I know not to get my hopes up! Caitlyn wouldn't let us find out her sex until MANY weeks later! Caitlyn has been so cranky these past few weeks. I just don't know whats wrong with her:(

We finally have our Christmas tree up and our outside lights too! I love Christmas. It's my absolute favorite time of year. Not because of the gifts, but because of the spirit of the season! Tomorrow I am going to buy Caitlyn's Christmas presents! I'm super happy Choo gets to be home for the holidays this year. He missed them last year!

Today is his one year mark! I can't believe it's been an entire year!!! Wow how time flies!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

It has snowed majority of the week, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! It's so beautiful. Caitlyn loves to be outside playing, as long as she's on the shoveled side walk! She WILL NOT walk in the snow! It's probably because the first time she walked in it, she tripped over a rock and fell flat on her face! My poor girl. Choo thinks it's pretty, but he hates shoveling the sidewalks and driveway. Poor guy. Elvis wasn't so sure about it at first, he would immediately freeze up once he stepped out the door, now he runs out does what he needs to do, eats a little snow, and comes back in and snuggles under his blanket:)

We're getting Paislee next weekend. I'm so excited I can't WAIT!!! She has gotten so big, and her mask on her face is beautiful! The owners say she doesn't like the snow. So we'll be buying her a sweater too:)I'm so excited for Elvis to have a friend again!

Anyway, we're getting ready to head out in the snow! We have to order a baby shower cake.:)

Such a Horrible Blogger

So I am the worst blogger ever! Lets see, Choo has been posting out for 5 days at a time, so while he's gone I'm super busy keeping up with Caitlyn and trying to keep the house clean. Then when he's home, I try to spend as much time with him as possible.

This week has really been hard for me. I have quite a few prayer request. A friend of mine is selling beanies in support of her baby cousin (Aubrey Joy) who has a rare and fatal skin disease. This baby girl is ONLY about a month old. Yesterday a friend of mine from High School said good-bye to her 10 day old baby boy. He was born at 24 weeks. Then today I found out a family friends 5 year old little boy has been diagnosed with Leukemia. Words can not express the heart ache I feel for these families. I don't know what to say to them to help. I can only pray that God will give them the strength that they need to get through this time. Now onto my life. Caitlyn has been having to go see a speech therapist weekly to try to get her to talk. Keep in mind she CAN talk but she won't. She talks to Choo and I, and sometimes my friend Tracey, but other than that she stays quite. So this speech therapist wants to see her weekly and try to get her to open up more around other people. I absolutely HATE taking her, and I am considering not taking her anymore. I'm gonna see how her next few visits go, then I'll make my decision. All they do is tease her with toys and make her SCREAM at the top of her lungs. Caitlyn is just not a people person, she doesn't open up to people and the more they frustrate her the worse she's gonna get. They will show her a toy, and hold it just out of her reach until she says please, or more, or screams uncontrollably and they can't take it anymore. Last week the poor baby sat in my lap and cried the entire time. She wouldn't get down and she had a death grip on me.

Elvis has gotten so much more protective of me since I've been pregnant, he won't let anyone (not even Choo) come around me. It's so funny but at the same time, I have to make him understand they aren't going to hurt me. If I go to the bathroom (we shut the hallway door behind us), he sits at the hallway door till I come out. I just love that little guy! He turned 3 the other day! I CAN'T believe he's 3.

Anyway, I just wanted to vent a little, and let you guys know I'm still alive. PLEASE SAY A PRAYER FOR THE FAMILIES I'VE MENTIONED!

Catching Up

So it's been a while since I posted:( We have been so busy! We are moved into our house on base, and I LOVE it! We still have some unpacking and setting up to do, but it'll get done eventually. Choo has started posting out:( So we can only do so much on the days he is home. Today we have to fix the fence, go grocery shopping, and get the basement where you can get down there.

It's so HARD to keep the house clean, Caitlyn just drags stuff out as soon as you put it up. It's so aggravating. So the only time I have a clean house is at night! For the past 2 weeks Caitlyn is not sleeping. She doesn't go to bed till 1am, and then wakes up all night. Last night was the first night she actually went to sleep, and guess what freaking happened, the stupid fire alarms randomly go off 4 times! We had to call maintenance, who was here putting new ones in till 1230. Oh how crazy my life is.

Monday is a SUPER BUSY day. I hope that Choo can get out of pt. We have Caitlyn's 18 month check up, my first OB appointment, and wic! Wic is a walk-in, so it's gonna take all day:( I'm not looking forward to it at all. I hate having to be completely busy. I'm not sick as much anymore. Thank God for Zofran. It has been a miracle!

Anyway, todays a busy day, so I must get off here:)

SURPRISE:)

So most of you already know the news I am about to share, but here we go:)

Choo and I are expecting baby number 2. We're so very excited! This time we're hoping for a little Cole:) But a little Emmalyn will be perfect too!

Choo gets a four day weekend starting today! YAY!!! I think we're gonna go shopping for a kitchen table, and maybe some clothes for Caitlyn. I just have to convince him to go! We're going to Glacier tomorrow. I'm SO EXCITED!! I can't wait to take pictures up there! It's so beautiful!!

We've been getting alot of our stuff we need for our house. We have just a few more things then we're done. We also have to get a u-haul and start packing. We move into our house in 6 days!!!!!:) But anyway, I have to get a shower and get ready, so, I'll update more on Sunday!

Oh How Blessed We are:)

So Choo and I got some exciting news last night. We'll share them with you all in a few days. And we're finally back on our feet financially! I can't thank God enough for everything he has done for us in just 1 day! I have an AMAZING daughter who is my LIFE! And an AMAZING husband who stands beside me and supports me no matter what! :)

We wen't and got our winter clothes yesterday and I even got some CUTE snow boots!!! Choo HATES them. Haha. Today we're going furniture shopping! I'll be so HAPPY to have a matching living room set!! Choo is recovering fast from his wisdom teeth being taken out. Caitlyn is teething her bottom left molar, then all her molars will be in! She's growing up SO FAST!!

Cold, Rain, and Mud!

It's been a cold, rainy, and YUCKY past couple of days. And Harley loves playing in mud! Great right?! Not so great! Muddy paw prints all over my floors!

Anyway. It's been cold. I'm in my hoodie and sweat pants and still cold! Baby girl is coming down with a cold I think. Not too sure yet. But I did give her cold medicine last night and this morning she seems to be doing better. She has such an amazing personality! Right now she is sitting on the couch with her blanky reading a book and watching tv!

Yesterday Harley got out of the fence. (Choo left the gate open) I had him and Elvis outside and Harley took off around the corner. And I started hollering for Choo to grab him (he was cutting up boxes on the side of the house) and he got by Choo, as soon as Choo called him he took off like a Rocket literally and he never stopped. Choo had to chase him at least 9 blocks! He ran all the way to the river! Then this morning I took the dogs out and Harley tried to take off AGAIN!! I chased him to the gate (I didn't want him to jump it). I had to chase him in the RAIN in my SOCKS through the MUD!!! I am so angry with him!!! And Elvis is just digging himself deeper and deeper in the hole he's in. I took them out and he came right in a pooped in the floor! Can you believe that. Oh he's in some serious trouble. So back to his crate he went!

Anyway I think today is a day for hot chocolate and cuddling on the couch with baby girl!

OH and we got to sign the papers for the housing inspection today!! YAY!!!

just an update:)

Sorry I haven't been updating lately, things have been hectic in the Houchins' household!

On Tuesday Choo got all FOUR wisdom teeth cut out at one time. Poor thing has been miserable. And his pain pills make him sleep all the time. He got to stay home till Friday then he had to go back to work:(.

We also found out that finance over paid us ALOT because they wouldn't update his address until our travel voucher went through. So they never notified us and this next check is 400 dollars SHORT!!! That will make us in the hole after bills are paid. So we went to talk to them and got the rest on a payment plan and they can't do anything about the 400. And they also gave us a PCS loan to get us through until the next check, and our travel voucher is "SUPPOSED" to post this week, but they haven't approved our DITY move yet.

I'm excited to move on base here in the next couple of weeks! But we have so much to do and so little time! And we have to clean the carpets because the 4-legged children we own are playing who's the dominant one! UGHHH.

Which leads me to another point, we got a new dog! He's a Husky. We changed his name from Apollo to Harley, he responds so much better now. Harley's such a good dog! But he's still in a puppy stage and chews stuff up! AND he freaking RIPS the HEADS off of their toys!!! And he eats them!!! I have NEVER seen a dog do that in my life! At first he didn't get along good with Elvis, but now they are in-separable.

Caitlyn has started talking more, she winks, and spins in circles making herself dizzy! I can't believe how much she has grown in just a month. She can't fit most of her clothes that we brought from home:( And she's on the fast track to a size 6 shoe!!! So I'm taking clothing donations for her 18-24 month, and shoes size 6:) Haha.

She's A Mommy's Girl

So on Saturday Choo and I agreed on a time out alone plan. I let him go fishing ALL day Saturday he got home at 530. In return I was going to hang out with a friend, have dinner and watch a movie. That lasted 2 1/2 hours and I got a phone call. Caitlyn screamed the entire time I was gone. He couldn't handle it anymore and needed me. I came home rocked Caitlyn and with-in five minutes she was asleep!! So now that I know I can't go ANYWHERE with-out Caitlyn throwing a fit, I'm worried about trying to get a job. What happens if she does this every time?!? UGHHH!!!

On Sunday we took a family day and wen't out to the biggest waterfall in Great Falls, it was beautiful! And great to spend time just the three of us with no phones and no interruptions.

Caitlyn is still having her moments where all she does is SCREAM. I've figured out when she wants something she screams till she gets it, she won't say please, or I want, or drink, sippy, blanky. Nothing she just pitches a fit until she gets it! She know how to talk and say please, she just wont. I don't know what to do anymore with her. I'm really having a hard time with this, she just won't allow me to have a break. Oh well, it's the mommy life and I wouldn't give it up for the world. She's my life and she makes all the screaming worth it when she comes up to me and says mommy. MWAHH and plants a big wet kiss on my cheeks!

Now on to another Caitlyn dilema, she has not been sleeping at all!! She isn't going to bed till 12 and getting up at 6!!! OH MAN!!! What happened to my baby who wen't to sleep at 830 and wakes up at 10? Thats a big difference in her sleep schedule.

Potty Training and House Breaking.

I went to tend to Caitlyn when she woke up last night. She didn't sleep very good at all.Anyway I get to her crib and she had her diaper off ONCE AGAIN!!! She peed all over her bed. I had to change her sheets at 3 this morning! Ughhh. So we've been trying to potty train her, it's not working out. She just wants to play with the potty. A friend emailed me a potty training book, I guess we'll try that method. You put them in big girl panties and watch them like a hawk and when you catch them in the act put them on the potty until they finish. I guess I'm lucky she doesn't poop all over her bed at 3am but still peeing is enough. So after being exhausted from being up all night with her I woke up at 9 this morning, usually I can go back to sleep but not this morning. Caitlyn slept till 11:30!!! And that was because I woke her up! And here it is 1:30 and she's napping. That baby is tired!

Now on to my other child (my dog) Elvis. He's 3 and has been house broken since about 2 weeks after we got him. But I guess this move is taking a toll on him. He feels the need to poop ALL OVER anything in the floor and he pisses on Caitlyn's clothes:( It's not like we never take him out! Choo takes him out when he gets up in the mornings, then I take him out when I get up, and periodically through out the day, and then Choo takes him out before bed. I have even taken his food and water up at night and it's still not working!! I just don't know what to do!

I'm so stressed. I need a job. Staying at home all day is driving me crazy! Don't get me wrong I LOVE staying here with Caitlyn and spending the day with her, but she's hit her terrible twos and I just need to get away for a few hours to keep my sanity! Between her and Elvis I'm surprised I haven't lost all my marbles! And the extra money wouldn't hurt us either.

Oh the Joys of Terrible Twos!

Today I am trying to rest. We had to go to the ER last night because I was hurting. Found out I have a possible cyst on my ovaries. I have never had one before:( Caitlyn is being a WILD one! She carried her little ride on toy into the dining room and climbed on it so she could reach the computer desk and snatched EVERYTHING down into the floor!! I just got her down for a nap, she's been fighting it for almost 40 minutes. I'm still trying to figure out why she hits her head on the side of her crib when she's mad, or she smacks herself in the face when she's mad. And when she gets in trouble she throws herself on the floor and flops around until you pick her up. The other day I ignored her fit and she went into her room and slammed the door! Where in the world did she learn that?!

I'm missing home a good bit. My nephew turns FIVE this month. I remember the day he was born:( I can't believe it. I have never missed his birthday so it's hitting me hard. He is starting school this year and playing football too!! Where does time go? I'll just have to have them Skype me at his party and send me videos of him playing football!

But now I'm off to do my wifely duties. Meaning cleaning this house and getting dinner ready to cook. I would do the laundry but our washer and dryer are in the basement and I'm TERRiFiED of going down there when Choo's not home. He gets mad, but I can't help it. When I was little my mom used to watch America's Most Wanted and that has made me the biggest chicken in the world!!!
